In 2020, Brandon faced one of the biggest challenges of his life when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Thanks to early detection and surgery, he beat it without needing chemotherapy and spent the next five years believing that chapter of his life was behind him.
Determined not to take life for granted, Brandon embraced every opportunity to live life to the fullest. He found a passion for Jiu Jitsu, where he discovered far more than a sport. It became a place of healing, discipline, and purpose. Through countless hours on the mats, he rebuilt his confidence, strengthened his body, and found a community that became like family. Those who train with Brandon know him as someone who shows up, works hard, encourages others, and brings a positive spirit to everyone around him. During this time, he also married the love of his life, Veronika, and together they have weathered life's storms with unwavering faith, resilience, and love.
Just as they reached the five-year milestone that they hoped would mark the end of this journey, devastating news changed everything.
In June 2026, Brandon discovered another lump. After countless appointments, blood tests, and scans, he received the heartbreaking diagnosis that his cancer had returned. This time, doctors believe it may have spread beyond the original site. On July 9, 2026, he had surgery to remove his remaining testicle, and now awaits pathology results that will determine the extent of chemotherapy and the road ahead.
As Brandon begins this fight, his focus needs to be on healingβnot on the overwhelming financial burden that comes with cancer. Amazingly, his surgery has been fully paid for! Now, between further tests and imaging, probable chemotherapy, lost income, travel to appointments, and everyday living expenses, the costs quickly become more than any family should have to carry alone.

He has always been the first to encourage others, lend a hand, and face life's challenges with courage. Now it's our turn to stand beside him.
