July 27, 2024 around 1:30pm, was the absolute worst day for our family. In the blink of an eye our lives were forever changed!!! My daughter Bayleigh was attending a friends graduation party when she somehow drowned in their family pool!! Bayleigh was 17 yo at the time and she was attending this party without her parents given her age and the fact I knew the friend and her friends father.  No one knows what happened or how she drowned. What I do know is our entire world is in shambles and we do not know which way to turn! By the grace of God the EMT's resuscitated Bayleigh's heart, but due to the amount of time without Oxygen she has suffered an anoxic brain injury, acute renal failure, and respiratory destress. Bayleigh was in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) for almost 8 weeks before we brought her home. Bayleigh has had several surgeries including a tracheostomy, gastrostomy, dialysis in her jugular vein (temporary) and dialysis in her subclavian vein (permanent); in which she recovered her kidneys after 2 days of the permanent dialysis, so thankfully she was blessed to not need those ports anymore and they were taken out. She also had several ports inserted into her arms and legs, and was poked with IV's and had blood draws what felt like hundreds of times. 

We have sought out the best medical advise for her recovery and from her medical team, and there are so many things she needs and TIME is of the essence.  

Some of the things that can hopefully help Bayleigh regain some of what she has lost and a few things we're working towards include: 

~ Hyperbaric Chamber for our house.
~ Stem cell Therapy.
~ Intensive Outpatient/Inpatient Therapies including occupational, speech, and physical.
~ Red Light Therapy.
~ Neuro Feedback.
~ NeuroCytonix's NeuroCytotron Technology Therapy. 
~ Communication Devices.
~ Purchase of a wheelchair accessible van.
~ And so much more.
