Hi friends, family, colleagues, and community,
I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of the next few months as I finish my PhD, manage work and school, and try to create a little stability and breathing room along the way. This is a somewhat unusual fundraiser because I’m not raising money for one single emergency. Instead, I’m trying to crowdsource the collection of expenses that have accumulated during this final stretch: housing, tuition and student fees, travel for academic work and business projects related to LGBTQ+ advocacy, programming, and events, basic household necessities, and a little rest and celebration after 6 years of graduate school.
Over the years, I've balanced graduate school with teaching, research, community work, and employment. I’m now in the final stretch of my doctorate, and I’m trying to make the coming months manageable. Here’s how you can help:
