With a heavy heart, I share the devastating reality our family is facing as my brother, Mr. M. Sivakumar, battles a rare and life-threatening brain infection caused by the JC Virus. A devoted father of two young children and a loving husband, Sivakumar’s condition worsens daily, and we are reaching out with deep urgency for your support to help save his life.

The infection has caused severe damage, rendering 60% of the right side of his brain non-functional. This has led to vision loss, paralysis of his left leg and hand, and confinement to an ICU bed at Apollo Medical College, where he was readmitted on February 19, 2025, due to a critical lung infection. An upcoming MRI will reveal the extent of further damage, but his prognosis remains uncertain, with only a 50% chance of recovery. His treatment, including ongoing care at Shardha Rehabilitation Center in Secunderabad, requires months of intensive medical support and physiotherapy, as he is likely to remain bedridden and reliant on a wheelchair for the foreseeable future.

This illness has not only stolen Sivakumar’s health but also his livelihood, as he lost his job, plunging his family into financial hardship. Without insurance to cover his extensive medical expenses, our resources are exhausted, and we are struggling to afford the hospital bills, medications, and rehabilitation care he desperately needs.

We have invested all we can to sustain his treatment, but we urgently need your support to continue his critical care.
