Our daughter Harper is the heart of our home. Harper is 11 years old and has cerebral palsy and complex medical needs. She is non-ambukatory, non-verbal and also has cortical vision impairment so
She may not process what she is seeing. But she brings so much joy to our family. Harper loves music, stories, lights, and gossip. She has an incredible personality and finds ways to connect with us. Our days include a lot of caregiving, medical appointments, therapies, and adapting life around Harper’s needs, but they also include plenty of laughter, music and family time. This last year has been especially challenging for Harper, including a major spinal fusion surgery and ongoing medical issues. Through everything, she continues to amaze us with her strength and her continued smiles and happiness.
