Tom is facing end stage liver failure and is currently on the waiting list for a liver transplant at Shands transplant hospital. This is a very challenging time, as Tom and his family need to travel back and forth from Pensacola, FL to Gainesville for hospital visits, which includes necessary overnight hotel stays.
