Our beloved brother in Christ Jordan James (J.J.) Wilson has gone to be with the Lord. 

Services will be held at Berean Church, 5299 E University Avenue, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2026.
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Because Berean Church is located east of the Iowa State Fairgrounds, please plan your route using HWY 65 north or south and exit at University. Berean Church is located west of HWY 65 on the south side of University.

At only 22 years of age, J.J. tragically died Wednesday, August 5th, in a vehicle accident on his way to a church to share about Jesus and the Lord's heart for the nations. In just a few days J.J. was planning to join a team of missionaries in Botswana to serve on a campus ministry team.  His life was marked by genuine love and contagious passion for Jesus. 

We remember JJ’s life as one well lived for the Gospel, in service to others, and full of vibrant faith. JJ served the body of Christ in countless ways as a drummer, small group leader, camp counselor, and missionary. More than all that, we lost our beloved friend.

While we are deeply mourning and grieving his loss in our community, we are full of hope that he has made his way home to be with King Jesus. We will always remember you, J.J. until we cross eternity’s shores to meet you again in the Presence of our Savior.

His family and the community is shocked and deeply marked by this loss. We ask that you pray that the Lord would comfort his family and friends in this time of tragic loss. 

Financial support will go toward paying for the celebration of life and other needs for his family that arise in this time.
