Rally Around a Hero:   Supporting a Family in Their Greatest Time of Need

Some people spend their entire lives showing up for others, answering the call when their community needs them most. Now, one of those people needs his community to show up for him.

Our dear friend is facing the fight of his life as he battles cancer, and unfortunately, his prognosis is not good. Beyond his role as a lifelong public servant, he is a devoted husband, a loving father to a young daughter, and a man who has dedicated so much of himself to serving others.

Throughout his life, he has served his community as a Chief and volunteer firefighter, while also dedicating himself to the critical work of a 911 dispatcher. He has been there for people during their most frightening moments, answering calls for help, coordinating emergency responses, and helping others through some of the most difficult days of their lives. He has given his time, his energy, and his heart to protecting and caring for others, often without asking for anything in return.

Now, as he and his family navigate an incredibly difficult and uncertain future, we have an opportunity to give some of that love and support back.

We are asking our community, friends, family, fellow first responders, and anyone whose life has been touched by public service to rally around this family. Donations will help ease the burden of mounting medical bills, everyday living expenses, groceries, and other essential needs so his family can focus less on financial stress and more on what matters most: spending precious time together.

We also hope to help create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for him, his wife, and their young daughter. Whether it is a special family outing, a memorable experience, or simply the opportunity to enjoy time together without worrying about the financial strain, we want to help give this family moments they can hold close to their hearts for years to come.

No family should have to carry the weight of a cancer battle, financial uncertainty, and the fear of an unknown future all at once. While we cannot take away the pain of this diagnosis or change the road ahead, we can surround this family with love, compassion, and tangible support.
