In July, I faced the tough reality of losing my job. Since then, I’ve been tirelessly searching for new opportunities, but luck hasn't been on my side. As a single mom, I’m now nearly three months behind on rent and have received a letter warning of an eviction notice by the end of September. It’s just my child and me—with our two beloved cats—and I’m doing everything I can to keep us together in a home that feels safe and warm compared to places we've been. Living in Columbia, Missouri, can feel isolating when resources are limited and there’s not much support to lean on. Despite the challenges, I’ve managed to keep up with utilities and food expenses, but the thought of uprooting my child is heartbreaking. Every day, I'm reminded of how far we’ve come. I’m committed to providing stability and love, ensuring my child doesn’t have to face the unfairness of our current situation. It means everything to us to maintain this small haven we’ve built together. Have a wonderful day.
