In Support of The Teal Family

Welcome to our Support Registry.
We are the Teals: Steven (dad), Aly (mom), and our three incredible kids. We have made this registry to raise funds for a new handicap van for our family. 
Steven has Muscular Dystrophy. This means his muscles don't function as they should, weakening over time, along with other complications from the disease. We do everything we can to make sure Steven has what he needs to not only be physically healthy, but emotionally and mentally supported as well. 
A big part of that, of course, is being able to be present in our children's lives. 
Having a van that Steven is able to roll into and safely ride in is a key to that support. We want our children to be able to experience a "normal" life, having their dad at school events, sports games, family holidays, and even small things like going to a movie together. Not only for our children, but the van will allow us to stay on top of doctor visits for Steven, which is vital. 
We have had a handicap van for a few years that friends and family helped us purchase, but it has reached the end of its life. We are still so grateful for the support we received those years ago and do not ask for support again lightly. 
Accessible vans are priced similarly to a luxury vehicle. This is because they are fitted with a special retractable ramp, a seat is removed, the floor is lowered, lock tracks are installed, and more.
