Hello, family and friends!
Last night, my partner Birch Sheppard was airlifted to Duke Hospital. This is extremely urgent because he got an infection in his arm from an oyster shell cut. The bacteria stayed dormant for a while, which is what this particular bacteria is known to do. Birch didn't know, and just thought his arm was swelling from time to time due to working over 50 hour weeks. He just got out of major surgery, and from what I've been told it started to invade his artery, and they have completely redone everything inside of his arm. The doctor told me he could have DIED. You don't realize how hard those words hit till you're on the other side of those words. Now, I'm facing crucial times. We have had no income coming in, rent is due in a month, and Birch is almost three hours away. We also have our son, Watson, which does make things a bit harder. I'm trying to go visit him so he's not all alone - Birch and I are high school sweethearts, together for 16 years, all we have is each other. So with that; I’m stepping out of my comfort zone, hoping to get Daddy back home with your help.
