Hello, family and friends!

We are writing on behalf of our dear friends—the Register family—as they walk through one of the most challenging and faith-filled seasons of their lives.

Steven has been courageously battling Stage IV colon cancer with metastasis to his liver since April 2024. He has completed 21 rounds of chemo, multiple surgeries, and numerous scans. Through every step, Steven and Beth have remained rooted in their faith, trusting that God would make a way—and He has.

After months of prayer, treatments, and waiting, Steven has been approved for a liver transplant. This incredible blessing came through someone from his past: Kristin Johnston, a high school friend Steven hadn’t spoken to in over 20 years. Reconnected through this journey, Kristin has selflessly stepped forward as a living donor—a gift of life and love that leaves us all in awe.

Kristin’s decision to donate wasn’t made lightly—it was made prayerfully. She has leaned deeply into her own faith, listening closely to God’s calling on her life, and bravely following it. Her sacrifice is supported by her husband, Cody, and their three young children—Sawyer, Teddy, and Dahlia.

The transplant will take place in Rochester, NY in June and will require both the Register and Johnston families to be away from home for an extended period.

While this incredible opportunity brings so much hope, it also comes with significant financial impacts. We are organizing this campaign to help ease that strain and give both families the support they need to focus on healing and recovery.

Funds raised will help cover:
•Travel, lodging, food, and daily living costs in Rochester for both families.
•Any costs from Transplant surgery and hospital expenses that don’t get covered by insurance.
•Recovery support for both Steven and Kristin.
•Post-operative medications and long-term care.

Throughout this journey, both the Register and Johnston families have leaned completely into their faith in God. Steven and Beth have seen His hand in every step of their battle, and Kristin has responded in obedience to His voice. Their stories are deeply intertwined in a way that only God could have orchestrated—full of hope, trust, and undeniable purpose.

Now, we’re asking you to come alongside them. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing this story, or lifting them in prayer, every act of support helps carry them forward. Let’s surround them with love and be part of the miracle God is working.

We’ve created this SupportNow registry to help ease any financial burdens that may come their way!

With grateful hearts,
Friends of the Register Family
