In Support of The Reaper Community Softball Team

My name is Michael Holmes and I serve as the Head Coach, Director, and Administrator of The Reapers, a long-standing community softball tradition here in Humble, Texas. Since the 1970s, this program has grown into more than just a team it’s a legacy of pride, teamwork, and community passed down through generations.

Today, The Reapers include over seven leagues ranging from 9U to 50+, bringing together young players learning the game, adults continuing their passion, and longtime members who’ve been part of this journey for years. It’s truly a family built through softball.

In my role, I help organize, coach, and manage all aspects of the program to keep it running and growing. As we expand, so does the responsibility of supporting every player and team that’s part of this organization.

We’ve always relied on strong community support through local events and fundraisers, and now we’re expanding those efforts online. While we are not a registered nonprofit, every dollar raised goes directly back into the program helping cover travel, league costs, and equipment so all players have the opportunity to participate.

Our mission remains simple: no one should miss the chance to play because of financial hardship.
