Alexa is the center of the McMaster family. Wife to Joe, mom to two little kids.
Earlier this month a bad headache turned into something much more serious. Within days she was in a neuro ICU and headed into emergency brain surgery.
She came through it, and her team is hopeful. But the recovery is measured in months, not weeks. Alexa has been having seizures, and the medication that controls them means she won't be able to work for six months with limited disability reimbursement.
Joe is shouldering the responsibility for all of it. The cooking, the laundry, the school runs, the driving Alexa can no longer do herself, two small kids who don't understand why their mom isn't home, and the bills that don't pause for any of it.
Money raised here goes to the basics while Alexa heals.
If giving isn't possible right now, there are other ways to help on this page. A meal, a ride, an errand, or a note for Joe to read at the end of a long day. All of it counts.
Thank you for loving this family.
For the time-being, Joe's uncle, Ron Werner, is administering the funds.
