Our Mallory continues to improve and impress us with her drive and determination to get back to where she was before the accident on April 26, 2025. She is happy and grateful to have regained the ability to take care of most daily tasks and has worked extremely hard to make this happen. Her biggest challenge with the TBI is that she has a form of aphasia that affects the communication center of her brain. She can speak and improves everyday but could really benefit from intense outpatient therapy. Insurance unfortunately has deemed this therapy as medically unnecessary. However her doctors and therapists say this is what she needs to be able to improve her communication. With that said, Mallory has been accepted into a program that is known to be the best in the country, but it comes with a hefty $50K price tag. This includes a 6-8 week intense outpatient program as well as lodging for her and her parents. She is scheduled to be there in January 2027 and we are hoping to raise the funds to pay for it. If you feel called to help, any amount is very much appreciated.
Mallory deserves every opportunity available to help her get her life back to where it was prior to the accident. She very much wants to go back to school to finish her degree. She is so loved and very much appreciates all of the support.
