On 07/01/2026, Rodney lost his 3½‑year battle with cancer and went home to the Lord. He was taken far too young, leaving behind his devoted wife Andrea and their four children. For 2½ years Rodney worked at the Colowoyo Coal Mine while juggling chemotherapy until he could no longer work. During that time Andrea worked two jobs to keep the family afloat while Rodney focused on his health. Despite their best efforts, medical bills, living expenses, and funeral costs have created an overwhelming financial burden.
Rodney never met a stranger and was always ready to help others. He was a devoted family man who loved his children more than anything. When asked about his bucket list, he said he wanted “to watch my boys graduate high school, to hold a grandbaby.” What he wanted most was simply a little more time. While we cannot give him that, we can come together as a community to support his family and ease the financial strain his illness left behind.
Your gift will provide immediate support for funeral and memorial expenses, unpaid medical bills, mortgage/rent, utilities, groceries, childcare, and other essentials as Andrea continues working to care for the children and get the family back on steady ground. Any contribution and every share will mean so much to them during this difficult time.
