For anyone who knows Courtney Kopelman, they know she is full of life, loves her family deeply, and thrives on movement, fitness, and community.
But since 2016, she has been battling Guillain-Barré Syndrome—a rare neurological condition where the body’s immune system attacks the nerves, causing weakness, and leaving her wheelchair bound. While that diagnosis created lasting physical damage, her journey didn’t stop there.
In recent years, Courtney has been facing an additional ongoing neurological condition that some of the top doctors in the country are still working to fully identify. Along with the physical limitations that leave her wheelchair-dependent, she is now also experiencing cognitive challenges that can be just as devastating.
Some days, she struggles with slurred speech, confusion, difficulty holding conversations, and even the strength to hold her head up. These moments are not just frustrating—they impact her ability to connect, communicate, and fully be present with the people she loves most: her husband, Chris, and their children, Eli and Mia.
After extensive research and a personal consultation, Courtney has found hope through Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy with Dr. Harch in New Orleans. This two-month intensive treatment has shown encouraging results for individuals with neurological conditions, particularly in both physical and cognitive recovery.
After prayer, discernment, and careful consideration, the decision has been made to move forward.
Here’s what they’re up against:
-
$14,500 for the treatment program
-
$14,500 for an at-home hyperbaric chamber to continue treatment long-term
This treatment is not just about physical healing—it’s about restoring cognitive function, clarity, and quality of life.
Every donation will go directly toward giving Courtney access to this care and the best possible chance at healing.
If you’re not able to give, you can still make a meaningful impact by sharing her story, following her journey, and surrounding this family with support.
Thank you for standing with Courtney and believing in hope through the hardest seasons. 💛
