Hello, family and friends. We are reaching out to share a challenging time that my family and I are facing. Our truck was towed from our apartment complex, and without it, we are struggling to keep up with daily needs, like getting to doctor appointments and accessing other support services. My husband is a full-time master’s student, and my daughter is in her senior year of high school, both working hard to push through these times. Recently, we faced cuts to our financial aid, making it even more challenging to manage our bills, while I am also dealing with serious health issues, fighting for disability due to lupus and osteoporosis.
Yesterday's doctor visit brought more troubling news—I've been advised to take complete rest due to worsening health conditions. This means no exercise or strain, while my husband and daughter help me with daily tasks, making sure I stay safe. With additional medications needed—some not covered by insurance—and a new urgency for meal support since I can’t cook, our struggles have multiplied. We are doing all we can to manage, but without our truck and with these mounting challenges, we need a little bit of extra help to get through this.
