4/22/26 update
We wanted to thank everybody for the donations, meal offers, and continued thoughts and prayers concerning Kim and her journey. Any funds donated will go towards a caregiver to cover two days a week while I’m at work.
Sorry, there hasn’t been an update in about a month. I thought that we would let everyone know that her condition is slowly worsening, and the weakness in her left side is affecting her more and more. Eating with a fork or spoon is not possible and walking takes great effort, with assistance.
Being in a situation like this tends to make you reflect on the things that you take for granted, like walking the dog and not having anybody to hold your hand or someone to carry on a conversation with you, and you truly want to hear their opinion. Most of the communications that go on today are with her eyes and hands. So hard to watch as you lose somebody a little bit every single day. I still trust in God’s divine guidance and his mercies and I pray for a miracle every day. After the passing of another wonderful lady going through the same fight, I know that Life is very fragile. Maybe the miracle is that I get to see her again when I wake up in the morning.
Again, I thank you for all your love, prayers, thoughts, and donations to help us through this dark journey.
4/6/26 Happy Birthday Kim!

Update: We wanted to thank everybody for the donations, meal offers, and continued thoughts and prayers concerning Kim and her situation. Any funds donated will go towards a caregiver 2x a week. Just wanted to update you and let you know that after long discussions with her oncology team, Kim, and her family, that we have decided to stop treatment for her GLM. The cancer has still continued to progress even during chemo treatments, and there are concerns that any further treatment would put her at even a greater health risk.
Our expectations going forward is that hopefully without any chemicals in her body, even though she needs 24 hour care, she may have a better quality of life to visit with friends and family in the near future.
We will continue face this a day at a time.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.
Hello to our beloved family and friends.
We want to tell you about the Kasai family. Two years ago, Kim faced a big challenge when she was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, which is a type of brain cancer. This has been tough for the whole family. They need our help because Kim is in need of full-time care. Kevin is trying to balance work and caregiving. Although he is doing an amazing job, we are looking to get her some support 2 days a week. It's a lot to handle, especially financially, and they need our support to get through this difficult time.
We invite you to be part of their journey in any way you can. Here’s how you can help:
- Choose from Support Registry options: You can assist financially or help with meals.
- 'Share' to Spread the Word to family and friends: Let others know about the Kasai Family.
- 'Follow' Updates to stay informed: Keep in touch to see how your support is making a difference.
