Our Mission
The Hazelnut Movement is on a mission to change the way the world sees those impacted by disability.
We believe All Kids Matter.
Through school assemblies, storytelling, and inclusive resources, we teach students that differences are not flaws — they are strengths. Every child is uniquely and wonderfully made — different on purpose, for a purpose.
As a parent of two children in the NKH family and an educator, I understand firsthand how important it is to equip schools with tools to talk about disability, empathy, and inclusion in age-appropriate, empowering ways.
That’s why we’re launching this campaign.

Why $80,000?
We are raising $80,000 to fund:
• The remainder of the current school year
• A full 2026–2027 school year (April 2026–May 2027)
• 2–3 schools per month for 13 months
What That Looks Like
Growth Plan:
• Up to 36 schools
• 60–300 students per school
• 2,000–10,000+ students reached
• Average cost per school: $2,000
We are looking for 40 School Sponsors at $2,000 each to fully fund this vision.

What We’ve Already Accomplished
Since launching in 2022, The Hazelnut Movement has:
• Visited over 22 schools and children’s programs
• Delivered assemblies and programming impacting thousands of students
• Gifted over 2,000 books to educators and children impacted by disability
• Created multiple free downloadable resources to equip and support educators in their classrooms
• Sparked meaningful conversations that help students see disability through a lens of empathy, strength, and purpose
