Dorothea Jean • 5 lbs 5 oz • 17 inches

The Lord showed up big in so many ways the day our girl was born. She truly is what her name means. She is a gift of God and God is indeed gracious! Dottie is strong and talkative and curious, with the most beautiful head of dark hair and sweet, inquisitive eyes. She is a fighter, and I have no doubt that she’s going to continue to show everyone around her just how big our God is and how worthy He is of our praise.

This page was set up for us when we first received the news and preliminary diagnosis for our Dottie girl. Our world was rocked by the information that we received then, and now that she’s here, we are living the reality of her medical challenges and trying to wrap our heads around what her future may look like. Every day brings new information as additional tests are run and more clarity is gained.

We will do our best to keep this page updated as often as we can with prayer requests, praises, and general updates on how our Dottie girl is doing. Thank you, everyone, for your love and support, for reaching out to check on us, for every way that you’re showing us that we are not alone. But most of all, thank you, thank you, for continuing to pray as we walk this path with our girl. It is not straight forward. It is up and down and winding around, and we truly do not know what to expect next. But we are trusting that the Lord has big plans for our girl and are leaning on Him for strength and perseverance.

We continue to pray for all of you and we love you very much. We are so proud of Charlie and how he is handling this matter. I am in agreement that she doesn’t have a tumor and that it’s something benign.
