 After several months of waiting for a liver due to polycystic kidney and liver disease, we finally have a match. Garrett went through the full donor testing process — proudly reminding everyone of how “elite” his liver is — but since we weren’t a perfect fit, we had to wait for a matched pair, which has now arrived. I’ll go into surgery on March 17th and Garrett on March 20th, and after a long year, we’re finally nearing the finish line.
