The world lost lost a bright light and friend on March 22nd, 2026. Sarah was a devoted mother, the heartbeat of her family, and a vibrant, loving soul. After a brief illness, Sarah experienced a sudden and unexpected medical emergency. Despite the efforts of her care team, she did not recover, and her family is now facing an unimaginable loss.
She leaves behind her husband Alex and their two young children, Knollen (2) and Nellie (5), who were truly the center of her world. Sarah was the best mom who had always dreamed of building a family, and in Alex, Knollen, and Nellie, she found everything she had ever hoped for and more. Her love for them was unconditional, deep, and present in every moment of their lives.
Sarah had a light about her that was impossible to miss. She could walk into any room and instantly brighten it. She was effortlessly funny, often saying the most direct and honest things that would leave everyone laughing. She had an incredibly empathetic heart, always putting others before herself and showing up for the people she loved in the most genuine ways leaving a lasting light with them. Sarah was a warrior by defying all odds with life threatening medical conditions early on in life to then live the most full and beautiful life imaginable.
Now Alex is navigating the unimaginable, stepping into life as a single parent to two young children while also managing the emotional and practical weight of this loss.
This fundraiser is to support Alex, Knollen, and Nellie during this incredibly difficult time. Contributions will help provide stability and support in whatever ways are needed most, from immediate expenses to ongoing care and ensuring the kids are supported as they grow.
If you are able, please consider donating. If not, sharing this page is deeply appreciated.
Most importantly, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. And in honor of Sarah, hold your loved ones close and live your life as fully as she did!
