Daniel Fetzer, a cherished husband, father, and preschool teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary, suffered a severe stroke on September 11, 2026 while running the Wasatch 100 and was life flighted to the U of U Hospital. Dan is known for his dedication to teaching children with special needs and has even been honored as Teacher of the Year for the Granite School District. Dan's love for running marathons mirrored his passion for life and his family, including his wife of many years, Becka, and their two children. Currently, he is getting the best possible care from the U of U Hospital staff in the Critical Care Unit, but his journey to recovery will be a long one. His family needs our help with medical bills and rehabilitation expenses.
