In Support of The Coleman Family

The Coleman Family
A note from Andrew’s wife, Ashley:
On Tuesday, October 20, I found my husband, Andrew, unresponsive and struggling to breathe at his desk. EMTs discovered his heart to be in AFib (an irregular heartbeat), which is very uncommon for a young and active man. While at the hospital, Andrew suffered a cardiac episode known as “torsades” in which the heart beats dangerously fast. Three hours later, another episode of torsades resulted in cardiac arrest. Andrew’s life was saved through CPR and the use of a defibrillator. We were immediately moved to the ICU. Over the next few days, doctors performed a battery of tests, all of which came back the same - normal and healthy, no abnormalities. The cardiologists and electrophysiologist (who specializes in the electronic elements of the heart) all confirm that what happened to Andrew is extremely rare. We currently have no idea why any of this happened or how to prevent it from happening again.

Andrew and I have two young boys, Joshua (2 yrs) and Josiah (8 mos). He is a self-employed woodworker who creates carvings and liturgical furnishings for Catholic churches, including many in our home diocese of Baton Rouge. We don’t know when Andrew will be able to return to work and provide for us. Our biggest ask is for prayers for Andrew’s healing, for clarity for our team of doctors, and for peace for our little boys. If you are able, please consider making a financial gift to help support our family during this time. +AMDG+

Please prayerfully consider supporting the Coleman’s as Andrew recovers from his health emergency. The financial support will be especially helpful as they navigate what life looks like for their family in the coming months.

You can also donate to the Coleman’s via Ashley’s Venmo: @colemanashleymarie. Thank you so much for your generosity and prayers!
