Our son Jaxon was born on March 15th 2025 via emergency c-section. We were released from the hospital and were able to go home. We went to his first follow up appointment 2 days later, and that same day he was admitted to NICU, as he had been experiencing extreme hypothermia, and hypoglycemia, as his birth weight was very low, and his body was very weak. He spent 3 days in the NICU. He was in an isolette for 2 days, and was hooked up to many different monitors, and a nasogastric tube for feeding.
Jaxon is doing much better now, and is back home with us. We are very happy about that, but we know the bills are coming.
I was terminated from my last job at the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I have not been able to find a job since being terminated. His dad just got a job, after taking some time off to help his own father through cancer. Unfortunately, he is not making enough to cover current bills, on top of the pile of medical bills we are receiving. Jaxon does not have any health insurance just yet. As financial assistance is based on household income, we would not qualify.
The cost of the hospital stays & his treatments have become a towering hurdle for his father, and I. Any support would provide not just financial relief, but also encouragement to us during this difficult time. Your consideration, and your kindness would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and we appreciate everything.
