Help Us Take Care of Doe, In Loving Memory of Buck ❤️
On October 8th, 2026, our family lost our dad very suddenly and unexpectedly. In an instant, our world changed, and we were left trying to comprehend how someone who had been such a constant, larger-than-life presence in our lives could be gone.
If you knew our dad, you knew he was one of a kind. He was the life of every party, the biggest personality in the room, and SO many people’s favorite guy. He could make just about anyone laugh, regardless of the circumstances. He loved the San Francisco 49ers, his farm, his motorcycle, his friends, and, more than anything, his family.
He was tough on the outside, but underneath that exterior was one of the biggest hearts you could ever know. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He was always quietly making sure everyone was taken care of, often without anyone even realizing how much he was doing. He worked hard his entire life with one goal in mind: making sure the people he loved never had to worry about whether someone would be there for them.
He was our rock. A devoted dad, a proud Grandpa, a loyal friend, and a loving husband to our mom, Doreen.
Together, they were affectionately known as “Buck and Doe.” ❤️
And now, Doe has to face a world without her Buck.
He was a proud father, father-in-law, and the very proud Grandpa. We all thought we had so much more time.
Because Dad’s passing was so sudden, our family is now facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses while also trying to make sure Doreen is financially supported as she navigates this heartbreaking new chapter of her life. They were in the middle of making their arrangements for “one day when they are gone”, so we are all prioritizing trying to keep the farm.
And honestly, if Dad were here, he would probably be absolutely horrified that we made a GoFundMe. He was the guy who wanted to take care of everyone else, never the one who wanted anyone doing something for him. We can practically hear him giving us a hard time for asking people for money. He probably would have had a few choice words for us, too.
But that’s exactly why we’re doing this.
Dad spent his entire life making sure everyone else was taken care of. Now, we want to make sure his girl is taken care of, too.
We are asking for help to cover funeral and memorial expenses and provide financial support for Doreen as she learns to navigate life without her husband and tries to keep the home that they had planned to grow old in together. Any contribution will help ease some of the immediate financial burdens so our family can focus on grieving, remembering, and supporting one another.
If you knew Dad, you know that he left an impression. Maybe he made you laugh until you cried, helped you when you needed it, shared a story, took a ride with you, welcomed you at the farm, cooked for you, or simply made you feel like one of his own. He had a way of making people feel cared for, and his impact reached so much further than we could have ever imagined.
If you are able to donate, we are incredibly grateful. If you cannot, sharing this fundraiser, sending Doreen some love, or sharing a favorite memory of Dennis would mean the world to us.
We wish we had more time. More rides, more days on the porch at the farm, more football games, more laughs, more drinks, and more ordinary days with him.
Please help us honor a man who gave so much of himself to others and take care of the woman who stood beside him through it all.
