✨ Ella’s Update — Hope Ahead for 2026 ✨
We are still in awe of how life-changing Ella’s first stem cell transplant was this year. Because of that incredible treatment, our girl learned to walk — something we once only dreamed about. Watching her take those steps is a gift we will never stop being grateful for.
Ella’s medical team is now recommending another round of stem cells in February 2026, with a very specific goal: to repair the areas of her brain that control speech and feeding. Can you even imagine what her little voice might sound like one day? The possibility of hearing her speak — even a word — fills us with so much hope.
This treatment window is critical. Reviving and supporting these brain cells now gives her the best chance for continued progress. But like before, none of these treatments or the intensive therapies that follow are covered by insurance.

Meet Ella – our bright, brave, and joyful 3-year-old girl.
She was diagnosed with HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy) and Cerebral Palsy, and since the moment we brought her home through adoption, she has been defying the odds.
Yesterday, we got a call we never expected.
An extremely rare last-minute opening became available with Dr. Proefrock at the Total Wellness Center. Dr. P is a world-renowned leader in adipose-derived stem cell treatment — and typically has a 2+ year waitlist. This treatment uses stem cells from Ella’s own body and has the potential to dramatically improve motor function, reduce inflammation, and support healing in children like Ella.
