In Support of Stella Lackey's New Wheelchair

Our daughter Stella is an adventurous, bold 6 year old. Stella was born with a neuromuscular disease called SMA(Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1). SMA effects every muscle in her body and Stella relies on mobility aids to explore the world around her. With the help of modern medicine, Stella is thriving. When Stella was first diagnosed with SMA, we came across an amazing company called Bailey Built Wheelchairs. These light weight power wheelchairs are unlike many power chairs on the market. They are compact, about 60 pounds and give the access to the world around us without an accessible vehicle and the extra space we currently do not have in our home. This wheelchair is not covered by insurance and is an out of pocket cost. Stellas wheelchairs have taken her on so many amazing adventures in life and we are excited to expand those adventures with the help of this amazing wheelchair.  We know this is a huge ask of our community but are extremely thankful our community always rallies to help.
