What Happened
On Sunday, July 19, 2026 at around 11:30am, someone came into the studio claiming to be part of our complex's maintenance staff. They were allowed in and during a short unsupervised time, went into our show storage area and stole over $5000 worth of sound and rigging equipment leaving through the back door of the storage room.

We only discovered this recently when equipment was missing for a show rental for a community partner. In the last day, we have ​inventoried all of the missing equipment, ​notified our building management about the scam and asked for additional footage, f​iled a police report​, and are working on filing a claim with our insurance company. We're hoping that our insurance company will come through and help us replace all of our stolen equipment, which included a mix​e​r, PA speakers, wireless microphone, rolling suitcase with hardware for our portable rig, and more.

​What ​W​e Are Doing & How You Can Help

T​his whole incident has left us feeling violated and we are taking some practical steps ensure that this type of thing doesn't happen again and that we can recover as quickly as possible to ensure that we can still honor our show rental contracts and be ready for our own upcoming shows.

While we are fairly confident that our insurance company will come through with a payout to help us cover our missing items, we do have a $1000 deductible and we are not sure when our insurance claim will be honored. We have a show rental coming up in about 3 weeks and we would love to make sure we can at least get started on replacing some equipment.

If we raise over $1000 from this crowdfunding site, we'll add anything extra to our JEDI Fund, which offers need-based scholarships to members of our community from marginalized backgrounds who may not otherwise be able to afford to make aerial arts a part of their lives.
