Hello, dear family and friends!
Sienna and Gabe have just welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Reed into their lives on 1/25/2025 @0133. He was 8lbs and 21 inches long. They had quite a traumatic experience, first starting with Sienna developing Bell's Palsy (the whole left side of her face being paralyzed) later to be diagnosed with CMV and having to get induced so she can have an urgent MRI done to figure out how to treat her correctly. Finding out later that this was the cause of her being life flighted earlier this month and having many trips to the hospital for preterm labor symptoms. Then after a full day of laboring they had to rush her in for an emergency c-section because Reed's heart rate was tanking. Once he was taken out of her, he was not breathing nor crying, the doctors were worried that Reed had a possible brain bleed and possibly a circulation problem. They immediately  took him away for medical attention. Sadly Sienna didn’t get to see her new born. The doctors decided the best plan of action was to life flight Reed to the NICU in Bend. Sienna got to see him for the first time after being earth side for 6 hours for only 5 minutes before they took him away in the plane. Thankfully Gabe was able to go with Reed and be there for him. It was a very difficult decision for Gabe to pick between staying Sienna or going with Reed. Sienna was unable to leave the hospital in Klamath and was unable to see Reed until she jumped through a bunch of hoops and demanded they discharge her from the hospital. She was finally able to leave at 6pm that night. She took a 2 1/2 hour drive to get to Reed at St. Charles Bend. Thankfully when they got to Bend the doctors ran quite a few tests and found that he was a perfectly healthy new born baby who was shocked from being stuck in the birth canal while Sienna pushed for 3+ hours. They were discharged a day later from the NICU and are now resting and enjoying their perfect baby boy. As they transition into parenthood, they could use a helping hand from their community. With sleepless nights and a new routine. All while Gabe is in school full time. Any support and love we can offer will make their journey a bit smoother and give them more precious time with their newborn.
