In Support of Sherry VanCourt
Hello, family and friends! Thank you for taking a moment to read about an important journey in our lives.
This journey began on December 26, 2022, when I was involved in a violent attack that left me without the ability to walk. Then, in 2023, things took another turn when my doctor found I had pancreatic cancer. After enduring six months of chemotherapy, I became very sick and almost didn't make it. But, I was finally able to have a surgery called the Whipple procedure on November 13, 2023. This surgery lasted 13 hours and, happily, my doctor was able to remove all the cancer. Today, I am proud to say I've been cancer-free for three years. I am feeling blessed and grateful, but I do have ongoing needs for a mobility scooter and wheelchair to help me get around for physical therapy, doctor visits, and errands.
