Hello, family and friends!
Sandy had to deliver her sweet baby boy, Saturn, 6 weeks early because of a health issue called preeclampsia. Now, Saturn is in the NICU, where he's learning to breathe and feed on his own. Sandy and my son, Saturn's dad, live more than 2 hours away from the hospital. Without a place to stay close by, they face a tough time. The Ronald McDonald House is full, and with Sandy out of work for much of the pregnancy, the hospital's discounted hotel rates might still be too high. They need to travel back and forth, especially since school for their other kids starts soon, and there's only one car for the family. Sandy needs to get milk to the hospital for Saturn's feedings, and starting Thursday, her husband must return to work, which makes everything even harder.
