Hello family and friends,
We’re reaching out to gather support for my grandson Roderic Mitchell Jr ( RJ) and his parents Roderic and Latiya Mitchell.
Rj has recently been diagnosed with Large B-cell Lymphoma with IRF4 Rearrangement.
This type of lymphoma is rare, with patients being children and young adults.
We are learning about this disease process and will try to update information as we receive it.
Rj has to have CT and PET scans Jan 23, 2026, then will have a port placed and start chemo the 1st week of February. As of right now he is looking at 3-4 sessions of chemo which is about 12 weeks.
Rj is 10yrs old and in the 5th grade. He enjoys sports , video games, and is the sweetest, loving little boy.
I am asking for your support for my daughter and her husband as they are going through a difficult time with this diagnosis.
