In Support of Rita & Kids Rebuild
On August 14th I was supposed to get married here in Idaho. Our official celebration planned for November 14th, and the move to Virginia was supposed to be happening now; we were supposed to start our new life there together. That life never happened. I was left on wedding day, without an explanation. Two days before this, I was in a car accident, and it damaged my car and unfortunately my insurance was not able to cover for repairs.
I have dealt with immense struggles with my health for a long time with autoimmune disorders. But These drastic and traumatic events have set me back heavily. I cannot work anything overly, physically demanding or stay on my feet all day, needless to say. I have been in and out of the hospital and urgent cares because of it.
There is rising debt from the weddings that was left on me, but it’s not only that. We have bills for basic needs that are facing shut offs, and are in a major crisis right now. We are already on what can be provided with government assistance, and praise God for it, but there are many things they cannot help with. Our community banks are completely overwhelmed and out of funding to assist. And this is the same for seeking help within my church and ministry.
We are approaching the cold months with a broken down vehicle that has many piling issues, and no steady income to cover basic needs, utilities, and general bills. We are really between a rock and a hard place.
I have put in over 2,000 job applications and have had hundreds of interviews. I have a great resume with broad experience, skill sets, and certifications and still no luck. My freelance marketing business has not brought in paying clients in quite some time, and this has really set us back as well.
All of these bills wouldn’t have been a need. I had work lined up in Virginia, I was covered there, with reliable transportation, bills paid up and Off, along with proper healthcare with the specialists I needed for my autoimmune conditions. With all that’s transpired, we are set back heavily now, and starting over once again from ground zero.
I am more than happy to work for any support. I am dedicated daily to landing something that is worth the drives and covers us. I offer social media services, marketing management, content creation/photography, fundraising and events coordination, case management, as well as Birth and Postpartum Doula support, and I have years of experience in ministry, nonprofits, wellness, and more. If you give and need help in any of those areas, I would be honored to give back that way.
If you feel led to give, it will go directly to keeping us stable and housed, keeping our utilities on as we head into winter, basic needs for my kids and I, and repairing our vehicle so we have safe and reliable transportation to work, school, kids drop off with dads, errands, and doctors appointments etc. It will also help close out the debt from the weddings, and the move that never happened.
Prayers are much appreciated and mean the world. They truly do go far. I pray daily for a miracle and believe God for one.
Blessings to you for your kindness, for sharing this, and for taking the time to read our story.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
With all my gratitude,
Rita & Family
