For the past six years, our mother has quietly battled stage 4 lung cancer while continuing to work for Toledo Public Schools every day. What began as comfort-care treatment after being given six months to live became six years of extraordinary strength, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and determination.
Recently, complications from treatment have led to multiple hospitalizations, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and time away from work. Like many people, she continued working because she had to โ to keep up with bills and daily life.
She is an incredibly private person and would never ask for help herself, so we are asking on her behalf. Any support during this difficult period would help relieve financial stress while she focuses on recovering and healing.
