Hello, family and friends.
We want to share Noel's journey with all of you. At 13 weeks pregnant, we found out that Noel had a severe brain malformation. After he was born prematurely, we discovered that there were three brain malformations caused by a stroke in utero. These malformations led to drug-resistant epilepsy, resulting in a decision to recommend disconnecting the entire left hemisphere of his brain to attempt to cure his seizures. Since the surgery, Noel has not experienced any seizures, and he continues on anti-seizure medication as a precaution. However, the most effective therapies for Noel are not covered by insurance.
Noel is developmentally delayed, but he shows incredible promise and improvement with each passing day. I am dedicating much of my time to his recovery, ensuring he receives the necessary therapies and attends numerous doctor appointments daily. Although it is a challenging journey, the progress Noel makes keeps us hopeful for the future. We greatly appreciate your support and ask for your continued help in any way you can.
