In Support of Nick and Sydney

Hello, Everyone!

My name is Nick and my partner’s name is Sydney. We are reaching out to share a bit about what we've been going through. Many of you that know the both of us, know we manage different chronic illnesses. Sydney is dealing with the challenges of being recently diagnosed with Crohn's(2 years this September), while I am living with Type 1 Diabetes. We both work full time jobs and go to school online full time(History for me, Communications for her). Recently, it has become harder for Sydney to work due to her condition. Most weeks she’s in almost constant pain which makes her job(which she loves) as a preschool teacher nearly impossible and this has put an incredible strain on our finances. 

In addition to our usual bills we’ve also had to make recent pricey trips to the vet for our dog Jaci as she tore her CCL in her left knee. This means things are piling up, and we're trying to find a way to move to a more affordable place, which would help ease our situation. We’ve budgeted and been diligent with spending our checks on only bills and groceries and we still aren’t breaking even. We’ve found a few places in the Dayton area that would greatly cut our monthly cost of living and let us significantly reduce our stress. I understand times are tough for everyone right now and it’s not always in the cards to offer monetary support, so I appreciate every single one of you that shares this fundraiser along and continues to support us!
