Hello family and friends.

I recently lost my husband of 12 years, Travis, and my life has never been the same since. That morning, he left for work like any other day, and I never expected that just 30 minutes later, two police officers would be knocking on my door, telling me that everything I knew had just been shattered. Travis had been in a horrible car wreck just a mile from our house, and he spent six days on life support, but the doctors said he was basically gone, brain dead. I had to make the hardest decision of my life—to take him off the ventilator. It's the kind of decision no one should ever have to face.

Our daughter has been heartbroken ever since losing her father. On top of that, I lost our home and land to foreclosure. I depended on Travis for so much, and it’s been overwhelming. We’re a Southern Bible Belt family, and I always dreamed of getting married, building a life, and raising our family together. I never thought I’d become a widow so soon.
