Help Morgan Santiago Reach Her Next Milestones!
Morgan is 21 months old with cerebral palsy and auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (hearing loss) due to a complicated preterm birth. Morgan was born severely anemic with hydrop fetalis (fluid retention) after a fetomaternal hemorrhage in uterus.
Her family is hoping to continue Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), a therapy that helps children with cerebral palsy develop milestones we often take for granted—crawling, independent sitting, standing, walking, and more. Morgan has hypotonia of the head and trunk with abnormal movements. DMI allows Morgan an opportunity to rewire damaged pathways in her brain and develop strength.

Each DMI session costs between $5,000 and $7,500 per week, including travel, and Morgan will likely need two to three sessions over the next 15 months. Unfortunately, this therapy is not covered by insurance, and the total costs are more than any family should have to bear alone. Raising a child with a disability is already ten times more expensive than raising a neurotypical child, making community support crucial for Morgan’s journey.
