Support Mike Moreland's Battle Against Glioblastoma
In October 2023, our dear father, friend and talented photographer, Mike Moreland, received life-altering news: he was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma, a brain tumor that has drastically impacted his life. Despite the overwhelming news of this diagnosis, Mike has faced each challenge with incredible strength and hope.
Over the past several months, Mike has undergone surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and countless tests. He has made significant lifestyle changes, altered his diet, and explored every possible option to fight this aggressive cancer. Thanks to his faith and determination, his tumor initially remained stable.
However, on August 19, 2024, we received heart-wrenching news: one of the tumor’s three spots had grown and worsened. Mike is now scheduled for another surgery on September 20, 2024. In addition to his medical team he has met with a great holistic team of doctors who have created an alternative treatment plan for him. Unfortunately these holistic medications are not covered by insurance but we feel this will be his best route post surgery.
Throughout this journey, Mike's strength has been nothing short of extraordinary. However, the financial burden of medical expenses, coupled with the loss of income due to his inability to work, is beginning to take a toll. As a self-employed photographer, Mike's physical and financial struggles are adding up, and he needs our support more than ever. We are reaching out to you to come together and support Mike during this challenging time.
