In Support of Cam and Merisa’s family

Cam and Merisa’s family
This year has brought some of the hardest moments of my life, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask others for help.

The day before my birthday, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my mom. Losing her has left an emptiness in my heart that words cannot explain. She was someone I wish I could call for comfort, guidance, and support, especially when life becomes overwhelming. Now, as I face another difficult situation, I have to navigate it without my mom here to turn to. That pain is something I carry with me every day.

In June, our family welcomed our precious baby boy, bringing us a beautiful blessing during an emotional time. Then, in July, my husband and I purchased a new home as we continued working toward building a stable future for our five children. We have been doing our best to provide a loving home and meet our family’s needs, but we never expected another hardship to come so soon.

On the morning of Monday October 12th, our only vehicle was totaled in an accident and now I am left facing uncertainty about what happens next. Our vehicle was essential to our family’s everyday life, and losing it has created a situation we cannot easily overcome.

I am a mother of five children, including two daughters who depend on me for transportation to and from school, twin boys who have cerebral palsy and require ongoing medical appointments and therapy, and our precious 3-month-old son. Getting my twins to the care they need is especially important, and without our vehicle, I am worried about how I will continue meeting all of my children’s needs.

My husband works as a commercial roofer, and his work is beginning to slow down as the season changes. After purchasing our home in July and welcoming our baby in June, our finances are already stretched. Unfortunately, we are not in a position for him to purchase another vehicle right now, and we are unsure how we will manage without one.

I never imagined having to ask for help, but my children come first. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money toward a reliable replacement vehicle so I can get my daughters to school, take my twins to their necessary doctor’s appointments and therapy sessions, and care for all five of my children.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family. If you cannot donate, sharing our fundraiser with others would be just as appreciated. Every contribution, share, and prayer will help us move one step closer to getting back on the road.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who takes the time to read our story and support our family. We are doing everything we can to build a better future for our children, and right now, we could use a little help getting through this unexpected hardship. Your kindness and generosity would mean more than words can express
