Hello, family and friends.

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, parts of Kentucky were hit hard by flooding. Among those affected is my sister, Megan Lopez, and my nephew, Talon Lopez. Talon has a global anoxic brain injury from a near-drowning in 2020, and he needs special care. Megan stays at home to care for him full-time. Their home in Brandenburg, Kentucky, which was not in a flood zone, took on a lot of water. Sadly, their insurance won't cover flood damage, and everything in the home needs to be replaced.

We are kindly asking for thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. If you're moved to help, we've set up a support registry with options to aid in rebuilding their home. We are incredibly grateful for the love and support we've already received. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Choose from Support Registry options: donate money or gift cards.
  2. 'Share' to Spread the Word to family and friends who may want to help.
  3. 'Follow' Updates to stay informed on their situation.
