Follow Mason’s Journey to Accessibility
Mason is a sweet 5 year old who is nonverbal, uses a wheelchair, and has complex medical needs. As he’s grown, safely lifting and transferring him has become increasingly difficult. It is no longer safe for his parents to carry him in and out of the vehicle. The safest place for Mason is remaining in his wheelchair, where he can be securely lifted into an accessible van without risking injury to him or to Mom and Dad.
As one of four children, it’s incredibly important to Mason’s family that they can continue doing life together. Whether they’re traveling to therapies and medical appointments or showing up for siblings’ games, performances, and everyday moments, accessible transportation allows the entire family to stay together.
They’ve found a wheelchair accessible van for approximately $60,000, an incredible opportunity considering these vehicles often cost $70,000 to $90,000.
