Hello family and friends,
Our sweet 13-month-old boy, Martin, was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Marty is a happy, joyful little boy who brings so much light to everyone around him. He enjoys his time bird-watching, playing in his backyard, hanging out with his animals, but most of all - he loves his mommy and daddy!
In the blink of an eye, the family’s world has been turned upside down. Marty is about to begin a rigorous three-phase chemotherapy treatment plan that will span the next two and a half years, with the first 10 months being the most intensive.
His battle began on June 11th when a visit to his doctor became a referral to oncology and admission to the hospital. For the next month he will be confined to the hospital, receiving multiple chemotherapy drugs weekly. We are hopeful that this first aggressive phase works, allowing him to transition to phase two the second week of July, where he can finally come home and continue his treatments through weekly clinic visits.
In continuation of his cancer treatment and the costly chemotherapy that he will undergo the next couple of years, we are humbly asking for financial support to help defray medical expenses. Any amount is appreciated and makes a difference.
