In Support of Kristynn Bellamy

Hello, my name is Kristynn. I feel uncomfortable asking for financial assistance, but I truly need help. I hope this doesn't reflect poorly on my character. I acknowledge that I've struggled with managing money due to a shopping addiction, but I am actively working to change that. I’m attending two addiction recovery groups, and my sister and brother-in-law, who is an accountant, are helping me manage my finances. I have canceled all my subscriptions and memberships, cutting out any unnecessary desires. Additionally, I've been working on selling items to generate funds for my essential needs.

The past eighteen years have been incredibly challenging and emotional, beginning with a traumatic marriage from which I escaped with my life. Since then, I've battled depression, anxiety, PTSD, and have turned to food and shopping for comfort. This year, I decided it was time to make a change. By becoming healthier, both physically and emotionally, I can be present for my five nieces and nephew, support my aging parents who face their own medical challenges, and follow my passion for helping others.

I underwent intensive outpatient therapy, which was an amazing transformative experience. I also had bariatric surgery—a duodenal switch—and I’m proud to say I’ve lost fifty pounds in three months! Fortunately, insurance has covered much of the cost, but it has still taken a toll on my finances.

Unfortunately, I have more medical issues that need attention. Due to my ex-husband and genetics, my teeth are in terrible shape and require extensive work just to alleviate the horrible pain and improve their appearance. I also suffer from fibromyalgia, worsened by my past trauma, along with other health problems linked to my ex-husband and genetics.

I have a loving nine-year-old chihuahua named Suzy, who keeps me emotionally stable. She is not your typical chihuahua; she adores children and is an emotional support dog. However, she has some health issues as well, and we rely on each other.

I'm currently concentrating on paying down debt, purchasing higher-quality food to adhere to the strict diet required after my surgery, and I urgently need dental work. Additionally, I will need to buy new clothes due to my surgery, but I’m looking for quality, affordable options rather than expensive items. However, I’m finding it challenging to cover even my basic needs, such as gas for my car. My health issues make it difficult to take on a second job, despite my attempts to do so.

I feel embarrassed to ask for help, and my family has supported me as much as they can. I promise, and am deeply committed, that any assistance I receive will go directly toward my essential needs, and any extra funds will be donated.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my situation. I hope that my request for help doesn’t make me a bad person. I simply want to alleviate my physical and emotional pain, and I am committed to paying it forward as soon as I am able.
