In Support of Kristin Terry & her boys

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to you to advocate for the support of my friend and widow sister, Kristin Terry and her two sons. She is in need of a heart procedure and just recently received a call before it stating there is significant cost to her to proceed.

They lost James in 2025 (after only 4 months of marriage, which the state does not recognize for support benefits), and have faced declines since- including in Kristin's health. Her cardiologist highly suggests "deep grief" as the cause of facing two different heart arrythmias that have surfaced at this time: Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). This has also impacted her ability to decompress and cope with grief through running (which has been so important to her), and her mental health has been largely impacted by this. Kristin has been carrying the load of it all, raising her boys, working... and has been in an overwhelmed and dark place.

This fundraiser has been set up due to a phone call she received just a few days ago related to her cost of the heart procedure that was scheduled for THIS NEXT WEEK, and that at least 50% was needed to proceed. Kristin needs this: her heart rate jumps from the high 40s to 190 beats per minute!

Widowed myself 7 years ago (and as an RN and widow coach), I feel called to advocate for her as I have watched her fight and struggle for healing and stability in the midst of more losses. I set this up so we can help ease some of her financial burden and perhaps more importantly, show her and her family tangibly that they are not alone or forgotten. I would be thrilled, actually, if we were able to raise more than $7k for her, and surpass this goal.

Kristin did not ask me to do this, but I cannot simply watch her under the crushing weight. I've set up this fundraiser through SupportNow, because when donors Roundup to cover costs, families pay nothing. The platform will not take a percentage of these contributions like Gofundme would.

Here's how you can help:
1) DONATE to support Kristin and her boys.
2) "SHARE" to spread the word to your circle of caring people.
3) "FOLLOW" updates to stay informed.
4) PRAY for Kristin, Xavier and Kaiden in the aftermath of losing James.

Whether you are a person of faith or not, I would like to share these verses from my heart as I ask you to take action with me for this family:

"...seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." -Isaiah 1:17

"Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for widows in their distress..." -James 1:27

Kristen, I too am a widow, and I know how God has used multiple people to provide for me and my family. I can't give much, but I'm glad to give to help you and your beautiful family. I will be praying for you.

I hope this helps you feel a little better and less worried.
