In Support of Kristin and Lucian

Kristin and Lucian
Hi everyone, I’ve always believed that you get back what you put into the world. I have spent my life trying to be a kind, loving person to every person I cross paths with, but this past year has tested my spirit in ways I never imagined. I am writing this today because I am looking for nothing short of a miracle. I’ve never considered myself a 'lucky' person, but I’m praying that karma and the kindness of others will help me save my son’s future.
In April 2024, my world changed when my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Without a second thought, I gave up the home I was renting to purchase an RV and move onto my parents' property. I wanted to be his hands and feet. I wanted to help him through the unknown and treasure every second we had left. It was the right thing to do, but it was the beginning of a financial and emotional landslide, which I knew was a risk due to the instability of my parents' relationship, but I took the chance for the sake of my dad. After my father passed away this past March, I faced isolation and betrayal from those who should have been my support system. My mother blocked me from the property and kept my personal items, leaving me with nothing.
Because I’ve spent every penny on survival, I am currently locked out of our storage units. Every possession my son and I own—our clothes, our essentials, our memories—is behind a locked door that I cannot open until the balance is paid. I lost my job because of this instability. Right now, I have exactly $50 to my name. Thankfully, friends of my father have opened their home to us, but we have to leave immediately after Christmas. I am doing everything I can to provide for my son, who only has one Christmas present so far. In this tough time, every bit of kindness counts. Thank you for being the miracle my son and I so desperately need.
