Hello, family and friends!
My name is Kisha Byers. I am a 50-year-old medical professional and former educator, and I’m also a proud grandmother. I am facing a tough battle with severe spinal conditions and excruciating pain that make everyday life really hard. For years, I've been dealing with lumbar spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, scoliosis, and bulging discs pressing on my spinal nerves. These issues have forced me to be on Intermittent FMLA for the last year, and since August 2026, I've been unable to work at all. The multi-story apartment where I live now is making things worse, and I need to move to a place that is accessible and allows me to receive treatments and safely take care of my granddaughter. This emergency relocation is urgent, especially since my lease extension expires on October 15, 2026.
