Kieran is a 24-year-old young man whose life changed dramatically at just 12 years old after a severe anoxic brain injury. What began as a suspected viral illness led to respiratory arrest, followed by cardiac arrest. He was without oxygen for approximately 14 minutes and also experienced brain swelling and a brain hemorrhage.
Since that time, Kieran and his family have been navigating the complex realities of life after a profound brain injury. Through it all, his family has remained steady in their love and commitment—continually seeking opportunities that will support his health, comfort, and quality of life.
Today, they are pursuing something truly life-changing: access to a Trexo device. This Canadian-made technology is designed for individuals who are non-ambulatory, allowing them to stand, walk, and engage with the world around them in ways that support physical strength, overall health, and social-emotional connection.
Thanks to an incredible grant, half of the cost has already been covered. We are now coming together to raise the remaining amount needed to bring this opportunity within reach for Kieran.
Time matters. The sooner Kieran has access to this device, the sooner he can begin experiencing the benefits that come with standing and walking again.
Please consider giving, sharing, and following along for updates as we walk alongside Kieran on this journey.
This platform collects in USD; however, it was intentionally chosen because it ensures more of each contribution goes directly to Kieran and his care.
